semantic theory of truth

semantic theory of truth
The view that if a language is provided with a truth definition, this is a sufficient characterization of its concept of truth; there is no further philosophical chapter to write about truth itself or truth as shared across different languages. The view is similar to the disquotational theory ; see also redundancy theory of truth.
